Make a Clear Decision: 3 Tips to Break Out of Analysis Paralysis and Get Into Action
Apr 07, 2025
Heeeeyyy friend!
We all hit moments in our business where we freeze.
Sooooo many choices. Sooooo many what-ifs.
And before we know it—we’re spiraling in overthinking and stuck in decision fatigue.
But here’s the truth:
Clarity doesn’t come before action. It comes from action.
The Real Cost of Indecision
A study from Cornell University estimates that the average adult makes over 35,000 decisions a day.
As solopreneurs, we’re constantly choosing:
👉 Which platform to focus on
👉 How to price our offer
👉 What to post today
👉 Whether to launch or wait
👉 Which tool, system, or strategy to invest in
No wonder we get overwhelmed.
But indecision is more than just annoying—it’s costly. It drains time, energy, and momentum.
A Quick Visualization to Unlock Momentum
Think of a time in your business when you made a quick decision because the stakes were low.
Maybe you picked a Canva template without overthinking.
Or finally hit “publish” on a post that had been sitting in your drafts.
Maybe you tested out a new software just to see how it worked.
You didn’t agonize. You just moved.
How did that feel?
Freeing? Energizing? Like your brain finally had space to breathe?
That’s the power of deciding—even in small ways.
Because motion creates momentum.
And momentum creates clarity.
3 Simple Practices for Making Decisions When You're Stuck
Here are three daily practices I teach my coaching clients when they feel frozen in place:
1. Set a Decision Deadline
Give yourself a timer—10 minutes, one hour, or one day. Don’t let a decision drag on forever. Creating a time container removes pressure and invites clarity.
2. Take a Micro-Action
Don’t wait to feel “ready.” Test something. Try it. Get it in motion. The smallest step—writing a rough draft, starting an outline, making a short video—can unlock insight and direction.
3. Ask a Better Question
Instead of “What’s the right decision?”
Ask:
👉 “What would move me one step closer to what I want today?”
That question will give you a much clearer, more grounded answer.
But What If I Make the Wrong Decision?
Here’s your reframe:
There are no wrong decisions. Just feedback.
You’ll either get the outcome you hoped for or the insight you needed.
When you shift your mindset from “right vs. wrong” to “progress vs. data,” everything gets easier.
Let This Be the Moment You Decide
