How to Host a Magnetic Group Experience (And Why I Created Summer Camp for Solopreneurs)

Jun 11, 2025
Join SummerCamp for Solopreneurs and get one focused business project DONE with ease, accountability and marketing support tools in a 7-week container.

As solopreneurs, we’re constantly juggling long-term visions with short-term to-dos. And let’s be real: creating a group offer, container, or workshop can feel overwhelming… until you experience just how powerful a focused, time-bound experience can be - not just for your business growth, but for building real community.

If you’ve ever wanted to run a short-term program, free challenge, or pop-up container (even if just once a year), this post is for you. I’m walking you through the exact mindset and structure I use for launching Summer Camp for Solopreneurs—a 7-week group experience that helps women entrepreneurs go from idea overload to project complete.

Whether you’re planning to create your own version, or you want to join us this July, this is your blueprint for making it happen.

Why Run a Limited-Time Group Experience?

Limited-time containers are powerful because they give your audience three things:

  • A deadline

  • Focused support

  • A shared community

This combo creates natural momentum. When people know it’s temporary, they show up differently. They commit, take action, and actually finish.

Group containers are also amazing for:

  • Testing an offer or content theme

  • Building your email list (especially if free or low-ticket)

  • Warming your audience before a launch

  • Reinforcing your thought leadership in a specific niche

How to Prepare for Your Group Container

Here’s what goes into creating a container that truly supports transformation:

1. Clarify the Promise

What’s the one transformation people will walk away with? What result can you confidently help them create within the time frame?

✅ Example: In Summer Camp, each participant chooses one project to complete in 7 weeks—with full support and structure.

2. Map the Journey

Design your experience week-by-week:

  • Milestones

  • Live call dates

  • Group check-ins or co-working sessions

  • Resources or templates to include

3. Set Up the Systems

Keep it simple but professional:

  • Where will payments happen? (Stripe, ThriveCart, etc.)

  • What’s the onboarding process?

  • Will there be a Facebook group, Slack, Circle, Telegram or another space to connect?

4. Create a Lead Magnet or Waitlist Funnel

Use a guide, checklist, or mini video to attract aligned participants. Make sure it connects to the deeper transformation of your paid experience.

How to Promote and Sell It

You don’t need a full funnel or 5-part video series. You do need clear messaging and consistency.

Talk About:

  • Who it’s for

  • What problem it solves

  • Why it’s time-sensitive

  • What kind of results to expect

Where to Share:

  • Reels (behind-the-scenes, FAQs, stories of past clients)

  • Instagram posts and stories

  • Email warm-up series

  • Facebook or LinkedIn lives

  • Pinterest graphics (linking to your lead magnet or offer page)

Pro tip: Don’t overthink. Share in your voice, from a place of genuine excitement. One voice note or behind-the-scenes Reel can do more than 10 polished graphics.

Once It’s Live: Supporting the Experience

This is where the magic really happens.

  • Welcome your group with clear expectations and encouragement.

  • Offer check-ins (via email, voice note, or community platform).

  • Celebrate wins and shout people out—this builds trust and momentum.

  • Provide coaching, templates, or mindset tools to keep them moving.

  • End with a simple feedback form or success celebration.

Group experiences can become powerful top-of-funnel pathways into deeper offers—whether it’s private coaching, a mastermind, or an evergreen course.

Why I Created Summer Camp (and What It Really Is)

Let’s be honest—summer is often when solopreneurs feel tempted to check out. The kids are home. Travel plans are looming. The idea of launching anything can feel... heavy.

But what if you had just one project to focus on—just one thing you finally got done before August?

That’s the idea behind Summer Camp for Solopreneurs.

This is a 7-week container designed to feel breezy, spacious, and powerful. It’s structured, but not rigid. Supportive, but not overwhelming. You choose one thing to complete—something that’s been sitting on the shelf—and we make it happen.

Past Wins Include:

  • Nicki, who launched a newsletter and started a walking + networking group in her town after months of sitting on the idea.

  • Svetlana, who went from totally frozen around video tech to filming and editing beautiful fermentation tutorials to support her gut-health course launch.

This container works because it removes the noise. It gives you space, strategy, and support—and helps you build confidence in your creative process again.
